About Me
I am passionate about being a therapist and how therapy can
help change the way we feel about ourselves, our relationships and our lives.
Pamela Krooth
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing psychotherapy for over 15 years. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from New York University. I began my career in social work providing individual, couples, family and group therapy to a diverse range of clients focusing on issues of anxiety, depression, addiction, domestic violence and family conflict.
Later I worked as a school counselor providing psychoeducation and therapy to high school students. I have been a Clinical Supervisor providing clinical supervision to social workers working with clients suffering from mental illness and addiction. I continued my education by completing a three-year intensive Post-Graduate Course in Couples and Family Therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York City, and I am trained as an Adoption Competent Therapist.
Before starting my private practice, I provided individual, couples, family and group therapy to adopted children and their families. I am also a parent of two children, one through birth and one through adoption.
